Happy 62nd Anniversary to Roche Bros.!
On October 16, 1952, our father and uncle, the late Pat and Bud Roche opened their first store in Roslindale.
Their slogan – “no better meat sold anywhere” – spoke to their focus on quality. Pat and Bud’s belief in the “Golden Rule” assured great customer service.
Our business grew over the years, opening stores, and becoming a part of the local communities. Today, we have 18 Roche Bros. and Sudbury Farms stores serving the Bay State and employ more than 4,700 associates. Over 300 of these associates have worked with the Roche Bros. family for more than 20 years!
It’s our 62nd anniversary and what better way to celebrate than by eating cake! Visit any of our stores on October 16th and enjoy some cake. We want all of our customers to be a part of our celebration.
As we mark this milestone, we are excited about what lies ahead! In early 2015, Roche Bros. will open our first store in downtown Boston, in the historic Filene’s Basement location.
We’re also celebrating our newest type of store, Brothers Marketplace, which opened this summer in Weston and Medfield. Come check out your neighborhood market with a focus on local artisan foods and scratch-baked pastries.

Greetings from Maine! As we roll on into August, we’re celebrating all the things we love about “Vacationland” with a Lobster and Clam Bake. From fresh lobsters and clams, to wild Blueberries and delicious desserts, Maine has a little something for everyone, so kick back with family and friends, and enjoy these
A “Berry” Good Breakfast
Grab some Maine Blueberries and treat the whole family to blueberry waffles or pancakes for breakfast with Stonewall Kitchen’s Farmhouse Pancake and Waffle Mix. For the maximum Maine effect, use Kate’s Butter and Real Butter Milk and top with Stonewall’s Maine Maple Syrup.
For something a little lighter, Blueberry loaf breads and coffeecakes are always a favorite! Pair them with any of Stonewall’s Jams or Jellies – made in York, ME – pour yourself a cup of coffee, and enjoy a nice brunch.
The “Maine” Attraction
Of course when it comes to Maine, it’s all about the seafood. Our Live n’ Kickin’ Maine Lobsters are the highlight of any meal. For something a little simpler – and less alive – our Chef Ready Lobster Tails are great for cooking out on the grill, without all the prep work needed for a full, live lobster. Serve either with our Super Sweet Butter & Sugar Corn for a delicious, Maine inspired meal.
The Lobster Shack is also in full swing, serving up our own, fresh made Maine Lobster Rolls. Check it out on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday between 4:30 and 6:30pm.
If you’re more in the mood for clams, our Kitchen’s New England Clam Chowder is sure to impress. Compliment it with some Oyster Crackers and a side of our Bakery’s Fresh Baked Corn Bread for a meal that will leave you and your family in a state of pure Maine bliss. If you’ve got a bit more of a DIY attitude, our Maine Steaming Clams are the perfect choice for any of your favorite clam recipes.
Mousse or Moose?
The Maine celebration doesn’t stop after the main course! Enjoy a slice of Maine’s official State Dessert by picking up one of our Bakery’s Wild Maine Blueberry Pies, and serve with a scoop of Gifford’s Ice Cream, made in Skowhegan, ME.
On the other hand, Maine’s official “State Treat” get’s some love from our Bakery, where an assortment of Whoopie Pies are available to satisfy your sweet tooth. Steve’s Whoopie Pies offer a wide assortment of flavors, including Red Velvet, Double Chocolate and more, or pick up one of our own Character Decorated, or Lemon Raspberry Whoopie Pies. Finally, if you’re family is absolutely crazy about whoopie pies, The “Big Whoop” – a cake sized whoopie pie – might be just what you need.

Popchips and Loon Mountain Giveaway

We’ve teamed up with Popchips to not only sample their delicious product but to give away 3 pairs of lift tickets to Loon Mountain! In addition, we will also be holding a photo competition to win a snowboard!
To enter, simply tweet your love of Popchips with #LoonPops to @Roche_Bros on or after January 10th! Include a picture of you or your friends snacking on Popchips while participating in your favorite winter activity, and your photo will be entered in a competition to win a Popchips snowboard!
The first lift ticket drawing will be held on January 17th, with additional drawings held on January 24th and 31st. Judging for the photo competition will take place on January 31st.
