Berkshire pork is a heritage breed of pig, which was discovered more than 300 years ago in Berkshire County in the United Kingdom. It’s also known by the Japanese as “Kurobota,” which means “black hog.”
This pork is renowned for its richness, texture, marbling, juiciness, tenderness and overall depth of flavor. It is thought by many to be the Kobe beef of pork.
This special breed — with cuts for everyday and special celebrations — is humanely raised, never given antibiotics or added hormones and given all vegetarian feed.
