From now until Feb 11th, we’re featuring a fine selection of wines from Chile and Argentina.
Check out these great choices and many others at Roche Bros. in Norton, Sudbury, Westwood, Marshfield and Wellesley:
Imported from Argentina, the Andeluna Malbec has an aroma of fruits and flowers, with notes of dulce de leche, vanilla and chocolate, after being aged in oak barrels for 6 months. It’s balanced, full bodied and ripe with tannins.
Chilensis — meaning Chilean or coming from Chile — produces estate wines that are hand-crafted. These wines are true to the fruit, flavors and aromas of Chile, including Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Carmenere, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Petit Verdot.
Trivento Golden Reserve Malbec
From the vineyards of Lujn de Cuyo in Argentina, Malbec flourishes in soil that suits its cultivation. This wine boasts aromas of red fruit, plum and cherry, combined with oak. To the taste, it is velvety with a long and polished finish. Pair this Malbec with beef or veal, grilled or barbecued.
Oveja Negra Wines
Oveja Negra literally means Black Sheep, and the wines from this vineyard in Chile are meant to stand out. True to the name, they feature unusual blends, such as a Sauvignon Blanc-Carmenere. Oveja Negra’s Single Vineyard wines focus on the highlighting the fruit of each vineyard. Varities include Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Viognier, Carmenere, Carignan, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Malbec.
