The Federico Family has been making heartfelt, home-cooked meals for generations when Mark and Pattie Federico decided to launch the artisan cheese brand, Narragansett Creamery, in Providence, R.I., in 2007.
The Federicos make cheese everyday because they’re focused on freshness. They use local milk, kind bacteria, vegetable-based rennet, salt and nothing else. While they are not certified organic, they make thoughtful choices about ingredients, supporting fair-trade and local ingredients to the best of their ability and sourcing from farmers who pledge to not use growth hormones.
