Narragansett Creamery Cheeses

FEATURED ITEM: Cheeses from

Narragansett Creamery

The Federico Family has been making heartfelt, home-cooked meals for generations when Mark and Pattie Federico decided to launch the artisan cheese brand, Narragansett Creamery, in Providence, R.I., in 2007.

The Federicos make cheese everyday because they’re focused on freshness. They use local milk, kind bacteria, vegetable-based rennet, salt and nothing else. While they are not certified organic, they make thoughtful choices about ingredients, supporting fair-trade and local ingredients to the best of their ability and sourcing from farmers who pledge to not use growth hormones.

Here is a sample of their some creamy, flavorful cheeses you can find in the cheese department at Roche Bros.:

Salty Sea Feta: Crafted from whole milk and sea salt, this feta won a Gold Medal at the Wisconsin World Cheese Championships!

Whole Milk Ricotta: Heated in a steam kettle then hand-dipped into traditional tins, Whole Milk Ricotta can be enjoyed savory or sweet.

Angelito Garlic Cheese Spread: This spreadable cheese, similar to cream cheese but lower in fat, is simple, fresh and made without stabilizers.

Pirate Spread: A spicy, sweet spread made with Salty Sea Feta, sundried tomatoes, rosemary, cayenne pepper and olive oil. Its boldness makes it a perfect match for grilled meats, veggie pizza or oven fries.

Olive Treasure Cheese Spread: A savory spread made with Kalamata olives, Salty Sea Feta, oregano, garlic and olive oil. Eating it will take you on an instant Greek island vacation.
