At Nettle Meadow Farm, a goat and sheep dairy and cheese company in Thurman, New York, they know that happy goats make great cheese.
The farm is owned and operated by Lorraine Lambiase and Sheila Flanagan. They love animals, artisan cheese and the unique challenges of farm life. The farm is run with the assistance of Sheila’s mother, Joan Flanagan. Nettle Meadow Farm was originally founded in 1990 and is the home of over 300 goats, dozens of sheep and a variety of farm sanctuary animals.
They use natural ingredients to create their carefully hand-crafted artisan cheeses. With several varieties of soft goat cheeses, they are also well known for their semi-aged cheeses.
