Launched in 2006, Olivia’s Organics Original Salad line took the packaged salad business on the East Coast up a notch.
Locally packaged for maximum freshness, Olivia’s Organics salads are grown on carefully selected organic farms that cultivate their fields with earth friendly methods such as crop rotation, organic compost application and natural mineral additives. All of the company’s salads are grown without the use of pesticides, chemicals, synthetic fertilizers, bioengineering or ionizing radiation.
From Spring Mix to Baby Spinach to Baby Romaine, Olivia’s has an option for any fresh salad you have in mind! In addition to salad greens, Olivia’s also offers cooking greens, such as kale, Swiss chard and spinach, ready to sauté, steam, braise in liquid or eat raw.
The first seed for Olivia’s Organics was planted 70 years ago when Olivia’s great grandfather Giovanni sold celery hearts out of a produce stall in Faneuil Hall in Boston. Today, Olivia’s Organics, based in Chelsea, Mass., continues that tradition by providing only the freshest organic tender leaf lettuces for their salads.
The company rests on one important rule of organic farming: To give back to the earth. Olivia’s Organics practices this principle its own way by investing in the lives of children who live in the communities where their products are sold. A portion of the company’s proceeds goes directly to the Olivia’s Organics Charitable Foundation. Through the Foundation, Olivia’s supports community-based children’s charities.
