Serving Desserts in Pastry Shells

FEATURED ITEM: Serving Dessert in Pastry Shells

Serve enticing desserts on Our Bakery’s new dessert shells.

Treat these fluffy, light pastry shells as a base and be creative about what to put on or between them, such as:

Chocolate Pudding

Keep it simple by buying chocolate pudding, or make your own! Serve with a dollop of whipped cream on top and a sprig of fresh mint.

Fresh Whipped Cream and Berries

Fresh whipped cream is easier to make that you might think! Start with heavy cream or try a dairy free version by putting a can of full-fat coconut milk in the refrigerator overnight. Whip the thick coconut cream the next day with a hand mixer. Add a little something to sweeten it up, such as honey, sugar or maple syrup, plus a spoonful of vanilla extract. Top the shells with berries and top with whipped cream!

Hot Fudge Sundaes

Use the shells as a vessel for hot fudge sundaes! For your next party, set up a make-your-own sundae bar. Include dessert shells, choices of ice cream, hot fudge, whipped cream, sprinkles, nuts and more.

Lemon Curd

Make individual lemon tarts! With a simple list of ingredients – egg yolks, sugar, lemons and butter – you might even have everything you need waiting in your kitchen. Or make it even easier by filling your shells with Stonewall Kitchen’s Lemon Curd, available in the grocery aisle.

Whip up your favorite no-bake cheesecake recipe without the crust! Spice it up with cinnamon and nutmeg or stir melted chocolate into your usual recipe. Top the shells with cheesecake filling, whipped cream, and crumbled graham crackers.
