If you’ve selected a balance of great-tasting cheeses, the next thing to do to make your cheeseboard exciting is to add other flavorful elements.
Here are some new things to add:
Marcona almonds: Spanish almonds that have a softer texture and sweeter taste than usual almonds, marcona almonds pair well with honey and all sorts of cheeses.
Fig jam: It’s great for dipping and pairing with manchego or brie.
New types of crackers: Add something new with different crackers. Choose a seeded cracker, one with nuts as the base or crispy crostini with rosemary or other herbs.
A selection of honeys: Include mini bowls of honeys, with a choice of types for dipping and drizzling.
Cranberry relish: It’s a tangy and bright addition to your cheese spread.
Marinated feta and olives: Add a flavorful bowl of feta with olives to your display. Marinate the cheese in olive oil, salt, pepper and oregano. Serve it with olives, marinated in lemon and orange zest, oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, pepper and olive oil.
Toasted baguette triangles: Cut a baguette into small triangles. Brush with olive oil and grill or toast. Serve alongside your cheeseboard.
