The Federalist Lodi 1776 is a revolutionary wine created to salute our Federalist Founding Fathers. The roots of Zinfandel began to take hold in the United States just as the Federalists were establishing our nation’s independence. In the spirit of George Washington and our Founding Fathers, this wine offers bold and original expressions of this truly American grape.
The Federalist’s vineyards are located in Sonoma County, California. Owned and managed by the Terlato Family, they have positioned the winery to produce single vineyard and estate wines with a focus on Zinfandel.
Crafted by winemaker Bryan Parker from the Lodi region of California, the Zinfandel has supple tannins, bright acidity and aromas of cherries and spice. This wine connects the founding fathers’ love of wine, some of whom had vineyards of their own, with this historic appellation known for its old vine Zinfandel. The result is a truly revolutionary wine.
