Where Your Beef Comes From

FEATURED MEAT: Where Your Beef Comes From

You have a choice about where the beef you buy comes from.

Here is a primer on the sourcing of several of the high-quality beef options in our meat department:

Certified Angus Beef

This premium cut is a steakhouse classic, known for its marbling, tenderness and flavor. And the company also offers Certified Angus Prime Beef, with even more marbling and melt-in-your-month tenderness. Certified Angus Beef was founded in 1978, with meat raised by family ranchers in the U.S. based on 10 exacting quality standards.

Spring Crossing Cattle Co.

From the grasslands of Australia, this organic, grass fed beef is raised with no antibiotics or added hormones, giving it a natural flavor and tenderness, and consistent texture. The company began as a family business and is part of the largest meat producer in Australia.

Local Harvest Natural Beef

All of our Local Harvest Natural Beef comes from New England.  These cattle are humanely raised and never given antibiotics or growth hormones. All cattle from these farms are Angus-based breeds, ensuring the quality and consistency of the beef on your dinner plate.

Celtic Irish Beef

In the beautiful, rolling hills of Ireland, Celtic Beef Company raises cattle the traditional way. The cattle graze on lush grass that grows deep and thick, where soft rain flows over fertile soils. This beef is raised without growth hormones on sustainable farms. The result is high-quality, flavorful, tender beef that’s also high in heart-healthy omega-3 fatty acids.
