Ingredients

  • 4 cups Food Club all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup Food Club granulated sugar
  • 1/2 stick Food Club butter
  • 1 Roche Bros. Egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon Food Club salt
  • 4 teaspoons Food Club baking powder
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1-1/2 cups Roche Bros. milk

DIRECTIONS

  1. Mix all dry ingredients. Crumble in butter through flour mixture with your fingers. Add raisins. Beat egg. Add milk, and add all but a teaspoon of this to dry ingredients to make a stiff dough. Roll out and put in a round pan. Make a cross on top and brush top with teaspoon of leftover mixture of egg and milk. Bake in 375° oven for 1 hour.
