Ingredients

  • 36 oysters, opened
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup fresh breadcrumbs
  • 4 slices bacon, cut into 1” strips, partially cooked
  • Sauce:
  • 2 cups mayonnaise
  • 4 tablespoons chili sauce
  • dash of paprika
  • dash of cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice

DIRECTIONS

For Breadcrumbs: Combine melted butter with breadcrumbs. Sauce: Mix sauce ingredients together and refrigerate for 24 hours. To Serve: Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Cover a baking sheet with rock salt. Nestle opened oysters into rock salt. Coat oysters with 1 tablespoon of sauce, sprinkle with breadcrumbs, top with bacon and bake for 4 minutes. Increase heat to broil and broil oysters for 3 minutes
