HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT ROAST FOR YOU?
Trying to decide between a ribeye or a tenderloin roast? We have some information to help you make that choice!
- The tenderloin is the most tender & lean cut and contains almost no fat at all, giving it a soft buttery texture that melts in your mouth.
- The ribeye has a higher fat content and contains bones which provide more flavor to the roast.
HOW TO PREPARE YOUR ROAST?
Looking for tips and tricks for preparing a perfect roast for your family? Follow these simple steps for a delicious roast to enjoy with family and friends!
- Prepare and tie off your roast (our butchers are happy to do this for you if you ask when ordering!)
- Preheat your oven to 450°
- Season with salt pepper and garlic and place in the oven UNCOVERED!
- Start your roast at a high temp of 450° for the first 15 minutes to act as a sear on your tenderloin to lock in juices.
- Reduce temp to 325° to finish cooking, for about 15 minutes per pound. For a medium rare roast cook to an internal temp of 130°-125°. For a medium roast cook 135°-145°. For a medium well roast cook to 145°-155°. For a well done roast cook to 155°
- Let the tenderloin rest for about 10 minutes to let the juices settle before serving.
