Welcome Easter – and finally a glimpse of spring – with bursts of color and texture from our in-store floral shop. Come with your ideas and design the centerpiece you have in mind, or pick up something seasonal arranged by our floral designers.
Get creative with a mix of your own festive ideas and some favorites from our kitchen for brunch, dinner or a dessert display:
Whether served seated or buffet style, Easter brunch is fun … to make and to share. Toast to the holiday with a fizzy and fruity brunch cocktail. Simply mix a puree of fresh peaches or berries with white sparkling wine. Or serve traditional mimosas.
Make eggs the feature, with a frittata or quiche. French toast casserole is easy to make the day before and heat it up the next day. Arrange slices of French bread in a buttered baking dish with a mixture of eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon and nutmeg. You can also make it in two layers, with marmalade, preserves or cream cheese as filling.
Complement your brunch menu with light, healthy sides from Our Kitchen, such as Mediterranean Chopped Salad, with fresh lemon juice and flat leaf parsley, and fresh seafood, such as shrimp cocktail and mini crab cakes.
For a sweet finish, bring home our mini cinnamon rolls and serve this recipe for Chocolate Eggs in a Nest. For the middle of the table, stop by the produce department for a crystal bowl of fresh cut fruit.
A Dinner Tradition
For a traditional, memorable main course for dinner, make Our Signature Honey Crunch Ham the centerpiece of your table. It’s been a fixture on tables throughout New England for years. Or try something else for this year’s entree. Select Our Honey Crunch Turkey – with the same special glaze and crunch as the ham – boneless turkey breast, spiral cut ham, prime rib or roasted boneless leg of lamb.
Make your own main course, such as rack of lamb encrusted with pistachios or roast leg of lamb with rosemary. Or glaze ham with a cherry glaze or maple mustard.
Turn your entree into a complete meal with potatoes! Make a potato creation of your own or try our mashed potatoes or roasted fingerling potatoes. Or replace your usual potato side dish with cauliflower au gratin, simmered in fresh cream and Parmesan cheese. Serve turkey with our maple glazed carrots and seasonal pesto vegetables.
Keep it sweet with an all-desserts celebration in the afternoon or evening. Serve up one of Toni’s Anisette Platters from our bakery, and pair it with Easter Cupcakes and European Bar Cakes decorated for Easter.
For the centerpiece, choose from our Coconut Cake with silky, fresh pastry cream with natural coconut flavor and covered with shredded coconut or our own handmade Ricotta Pie. Go chocolate with our hand-decorated Chocolate Easter Egg Cake or sweet and tangy with our Lemon Meringue Pie.
Happy Easter from all of us at Roche Bros.!
