One Bowl Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

Give banana bread a sweet boost with the addition of rich, dark chocolate chips in this easy one bowl recipe.

  • Nonstick cooking spray

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°. Spray 9 x 5-inch loaf pan with cooking spray; dust bottom and sides of pan with flour.
  2. In large bowl, whisk eggs; add bananas and mash with fork. Stir in sugar, oil, vanilla extract and salt. Sift flour and baking soda into egg mixture; stir until just combined. Fold in 1/3 cup chocolate chips; spread batter in prepared pan and sprinkle with remaining 2 tablespoons chocolate chips. Bake bread 1 hour 5 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean and top is golden brown.
  3. Cool bread in pan on wire rack 10 minutes; run a small knife around edge of pan to loosen and invert onto rack to cool completely. Cut bread into 10 (¾-inch-thick) slices.
