Strawberry Scones with Citrus Glaze

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°; spray 8-inch round cake pan with cooking spray. Line rimmed baking pan with parchment paper; spray with cooking spray.
  2. in food processor, pulse flour, granulated sugar and baking powder until combined; add butter and pulse until small crumbs remain. Add 1 cup milk, pulse until incorporated. Transfer dough to floured work surface; add strawberries and knead until dough just comes together, sprinkling with more four as needed. Press dough into prepared cake pan; invert on cutting board and cut into 8 wedges. Place wedges on prepared baking pan.
  3. Brush scones with remining 1 tablespoon milk; bake 15 minutes or until golden brown. Makes 8 scones.
  4. In small bowl, whisk powdered sugar, orange juice and lemon zest; drizzle over scones.
